News Alert:

We may have 1-2 "AAA" Team Openings. Team interested would start playing on 8/22/10

"AAA" Division -

                                           Mariners Champion - $550

Spectacular defense, solid pitching and a 3-run eighth inning gave the Mariners a 4-3 win against a solid Blue Jays team. In each of the 3 rounds of the playoffs the Mariners were the lower seed and had to play near flawless baseball to reach and win the championship. It took extra innings to get past the #1 seed Mayhem and took the narrowest margin to beat the #2 seed, Blue Jays in the season's final game. A special thanks to the fans who attended the game and supported the players - you were treated to great game by two class act teams. The Blue Jays didn't go home empty handed and won $275 for being the runner up - everyone can be proud of how the game was played and of the quality of play displayed.

"AA" Division -

                           Sandals Champion - $400

In the classic battle of good vs evil it was the Sandals edging out the Diablos 5-2. A 2-Run home run early in the game, timely double plays, and dramatic defensive plays especially by the Sandals 3rd baseman enabled the Sandals to keep the Diablos offense at bay. Congratulations to the Sandals. The Diablos for their efforts left with $200 and a similar trophy. The Diablos were a gritty team but in the end the Sandals pitching and defense never allowed the Diablos offense to get on a roll.

"A" -

                                 Ringers Champion - $350

The Ringers used a combination of strong pitching and solid hitting as they won comfortably 16-9 against the Aguiluchos. Art Garcia hit a 2-run home run early in the game to get their offense started. Although the Ringers had an abbreviated season, they were the only team in any division to finish with an unblemished record. The championship was a nice welcome to "AA" where 14+ teams await their arrival.  As Ringer tradition calls for it, the pink skirt was in full display which got a lot of whistles from the opposing fans although the catcher felt uneasy squatting with a skirt and only wore it during warm-up tosses. For their strong run in the playoffs, the Aguiluchos went home with $175 and proud to know they are capable of winning practically any day in "A". Congratulations to both teams.
